Angola and China intend to implement sugarcane projects in Bengo
 
Caxito — A project for the planting, processing and marketing of sugarcane will be implemented in the northern Bengo province, in a partnership between Angolans and Chinese, aimed at creating jobs and boosting the economy of this region of the country.
 
This was said to the press on Monday by the chairperson of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce (CAC), Manuel Arnaldo de Sousa Calado, at the end of a meeting with the provincial governor of Bengo, João Bernardo de Miranda.
 
CAC official did not disclose dates for the implementation of the project that could be implemented in a space of 20.000 hectares for planting sugarcane.
 
The chairman of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce ensured the availability of the Chinese businessmen, only waiting for the availability of the provincial entities in Bengo to indicate the municipalities conducive to the implementation of the project.
 
Manuel Calado added that in the near future the Angola China Chamber of Commerce will bring to Bengo a second commission of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit the province and check the conditions of the soils and the business opportunities.
 
The head of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce said that he was briefed by the government of Bengo on the priority areas, namely fisheries, agriculture, tourism and culture, with a view to boosting the development of the region.
 
In addition to these components, CAC chairman said that his agenda included a training plan for entrepreneurs based in Bengo.
