Little Sheep eyes farm in New Zealand, paper says

Chinese hot pot restaurant chain operator Little Sheep Group Ltd. is 20% owned by U.S. fast food giant Yum! Brands Inc.



Little Sheep Group Ltd. (0968.HK) said Thursday that it plans to build a sheep farm in New Zealand in order to increase the supply of quality lamb meat for its hot pot restaurant chain business, the Beijing News reported Friday, citing the company's vice-president Li Lichan. Little Sheep also plans to build a third lamb meat processing base in Hulun Buir city in Inner Mongolia, in addition to its facilities in Bayannaoer and Xilin Gol in the autonomous region, the report said.
