Indofood is on the lookout to lease and develop parcels of land for large-scale commercial farming.

KMP says the 30,000 hectares of land to be leased to Honk Kong-based company “spells land-grabbing” to Davao Oriental farmers.

Hong Kong-based First Pacific Co. Ltd. will work with the Department of Agriculture to identify lands in the Philippine for the production of cash crops, hoping to eventually control over 200,000ha.
