Des associations environnementales, d'agriculteurs et des organisations de solidarité ont lancé lundi un appel pour un arrêt immédiat de l'accaparement des terres par des Etats et des investisseurs privés, à l'occasion de la conférence annuelle de la Banque Mondiale sur le foncier.
Supachai Panitchpakdi, Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development, says that while foreign investment in agriculture is increasing, “We have to recognize that potential risks, such as land grab, may pose serious threats to developing country farmers.”
