On the sidelines of an AfDB investment forum in Morocco, Nigeria's Zamfara State signed an MOU with Nigeria's Ministry of Finance under which it will provide arable land, infrastructure and policy incentives while the Ministry mobilises investors.

A long-running legal battle over the French media group Vivendi has coincided with growing scrutiny of the Bolloré family’s wider business interests by anti-corruption groups.
Le média indépendant belge « Médor » a dénoncé une procédure-bâillon de la part de l’entreprise Socfin (Société financière des caoutchoucs), détenue par Hubert Fabri et le groupe Bolloré.
Suite à la publication en 2019 d’une enquête « Socfin/Cambodge : les terres rouges des Bunongs perdues à jamais », l’entreprise Socfin (détenue par le groupe Bolloré et Hubert Fabri) a attaqué Médor devant la justice pénale luxembourgeoise. Six ans, des milliers d’euros, des auditions, des inculpations et des heures de défense et de stress plus tard, la justice a ordonné un non-lieu, le 30 avril dernier. Médor dénonce une procédure-bâillon.
This is a case that illustrates the limits of legal provisions, as well as the difficulties faced by local communities in holding the multinationals operating on their land to account.
C’est un cas qui illustre les limites des dispositions légales ainsi que les difficultés des communautés locales à rendre responsables les multinationales qui opèrent sur leur terrain.
