A long terme, 1 600 ha de plantations de maïs seront développées pour l’alimentation animale par la société indienne L7H Life Resources Overseas Pvt Ltd.
La culture extensive de l'huile de palme dans le monde pose de gros problèmes de déforestation et certains exploitants ne respectent pas les principes directoires mis en place au niveau de l'OCDE. C'est le cas notamment de la société luxembourgeoise d'origine belge Socfin.
L'acharnement est considéré comme une tentative de les faire taire afin qu'ils arrêtent leur travail légitime de plaidoyer contre l'accaparement des terres et autres violations des droits humains entraînées par la société Feronia.
