FAO expert says it would be wrong to conclude that investors’ interest in agriculture has vanished and developing countries and donors should do more to ensure responsible investment and confront domestic “land grabbers".
Report summarizes the results of a consultation among small-scale food producers and CSOs on the use and implementation of the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests.
The People’s Manual is a pedagogical and didactic guide, which aims to make it easier to understand the Guidelines and to provide a practical approach to people on how to use them in their struggles.
Many see the voluntary guidelines as an important opportunity to address wider issues of land inequality, historical dispossession and agrarian change, rather than simply as a route to “responsible investment”
