Jordan agriculture minister discusses investment in Sudan

Jordanian Agriculture Minister Akef Zu'bu discussed on Tuesday with Jordan's Ambassador to Sudan Ayed Dararjh prospects of investing 168,000 dunums allocated by the Sudanese government for Jordan.

A technical team would be sent to Sudan to prepare a feasibility study, which would help encourage the private sector to invest there, the Jordanian Agriculture Ministry said in a statement.

It added that the implementation will start soon, after the Joint Jordanian-Sudanese Agricultural Committee has given the Jordanian government the green light to invest in these lands.
