Chinese DELMOR to invest in establishment of meat and dairy cluster in Jizzakh region
 
An agro-industrial cluster of meat and dairy with participation of the Chinese company DELMOR is being created in the Jizzakh region, Norma reports. 
 
The project is estimated at $100 million, 25% of them are funds from the Chinese investor, 5% will be invested by the LLC “Jizzax organic” and 70% – loans from international financial institutions. The total production capacity – 2,500 tons of meat per year, livestock – 10,000 heads of cattle. 
 
In the Zamin and Zarbdar districts of the Jizzakh region, 10,775 hectares of land (8,964 hectare of which are irrigated) are allocated for the project. A modern cattle-breeding complex will be built here with its own feed production center, a slaughterhouse and biogas plants.
 
Only advanced and modern agricultural technologies will be used, including laser land planning and no-till seeders. Feed crops will be grown for a scientifically based four-year crop rotation. 
 
As a result of the project implementation, it is planned to create 1,000 jobs.
