RRG Nature Based Solutions LLC has so far acquired lands for carbon farming projects in Morocco and Colombia.
Mitsui & Co. has invested US$360 million through a Singapore-based holding company in Ecuador-based Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila (IPSP), which controls 18,000 hectares of farming ponds.
Through Macquarie Asset Management, PFJC will invest in farmland with various crops, such as wheat, beans, cotton and avocados on farmlands spread across eastern and western Australia.

Japan’s MYFARM Inc will inject RM210 million into PLS Plantations Bhd’s durian plantation in Pahang, as the company looks to expand from 1,000ha to 10,000ha over the next five years.
Marubeni is partnering with the Philippines government and a construction company owned by the billionaire Consunji family to develop a 10,000 ha tree plantation project in Negros Occidental that it says will produce up to 100,000 tons of carbon credits every year.
PLS LESB will partner with Japan's Millennium Agriculture Technology and MyFarm Inc, Japan to develop up to 1,000 hectares of durian plantations in Pahang, Malaysia.
