Prince Alwaleed to sell 50 pct of Egypt Toshka

Citigroup's biggest individual shareholder, Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal reported that he plans to sell 50 Pct of his agricultural firm, which is developing the Toshka agriculture project in southern Egypt to the public, according to al-Madina daily on Wednesday

Alwaleed, who had already invested 700 million Egyptian Pounds ($127 million) on Toshka, obtained the approval of Egypt's Ministry of Agriculture which will also allow Asian investors to join the project, said the paper.

It added that Alwaleed said he was not planning to withdraw completely from Egypt's Toshka project.
