UAE interested in investing in Armenian agriculture

YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. The United Arab Emirates is interested in investing in Armenia’s agricultural sector, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Hovhannes Azizyan told a meeting of the parliamentary committee on economic affairs on September 5.

In his words, the UAE has invested about $30 million in the Armenian economy. According to the deputy minister, by the end of 2016 UAE investments in Armenia stood at $28.4 million, having increased by $1.2 million since 2017.

 "Basically, investments made in agriculture were used to plant fruit gardens," Azizyan said. -0-
