Kenya has revealed plans to lease large tracts of land to Israeli investors for wheat production, marking a renewed agricultural venture after an earlier Israeli-led maize project at the Galana-Kulalu irrigation scheme failed.

Fazenda Agrinor is constructing greenhouses in the commune of Bela Vista, Angola at its 5000 ha farm concession in collaboration with the Israeli company Mitrelli
The group, which has a dairy joint venture with Israel's LR Group, says it intends to increase its dairy capacity and invest in a 3,000-hectare property in Mindoro to "plant corn for cows" and for other purposes.

The farm intends to cultivate 500 acres of field crops and has already leased 100 acres from the Guyana Lands & Surveys Commission which has made arrangements for another 150 acres held by farmers under lease from the government.

Work is progressing on the joint venture between Demerara Distillers Limited and the LR Group of Israel, with land clearing and preparation of the first 100 acres currently in progress.
Eleven investors plan to start farming on 4,000 hectares in the fourth quarter of this year, at the Gabiro Agribusiness Hub-- designed by Israel's Netafim and funded by Rwanda’s government.
