The Ondo State Government has secured 10,000 hectares of land in the Southern Senatorial District for a $200 million agricultural project.

Abia State Governor Otti disclosed this while receiving in audience a delegation of an Israeli – Agro business Investment Company, AgroTop Israel and their development partners from Max Agro Farm.

A Nigerian-owned agribusiness firm, JR Farms, has entered a partnership with the Cross River Government to develop a 30,000-hectare coffee plantation across the 18 local government areas of the state over the next five years.

Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd says it has acquired the 1,800 acres to develop a 1.2 million broiler capacity, establish a state-of-the-art broiler processing plant, a beef processing facility, multiple hatcheries, fish ponds, and a dam.

The project, funded by the government's Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund, will initially support Tiamin Rice in cultivating approximately 30,000 hectares of land in Gamawa.
