Australia’s River Capital will invest more than $80 million in a 30,000 hectare eucalyptus plantation project in the Tiwi Islands that is set to become one of the country’s largest nature-based carbon ventures.

Carbon credits are derived from Kijani Forestry’s Smallholder Farmer Forestry Project in northern Uganda, which establishes woodlots on degraded land, with roughly 30 million trees planted to date in collaboration with local growers.
