Ethiopia: Highlanders will overtake soon Gode

Government calls Ethiopian Highlanders to settle and invest to the rich fertile land of Shabelle region in the Somali State, where no one has rights claiming the ownership.

Huge delegate leads by Ethiopian prime minister Hailemariam are in a tour at Shabelle region. The delegate will stay Gode town in two days for observation and encouragement of the foreign investors. During the tour, they will inspect the land prepared for investors, and they will listen reports from the projects’ leaders.

The delegate includes Chinese and Indian investors as well as Ethiopian highland tycoons those keen on investing the Shabelle region.

The regional president Abdi Mohamud Omar had visited in China, where he met chinese business those interested in investing the Somali region of Ethiopia.

Recent years, government was attempting to persuade foreign tycoons to invest Ethiopian land. The government has been ignoring waring reports of land grab issued by the international humanitarian organisations. They had opposed plans taking over from the farmlands the poor people and surrounding to the foreign investors.

The land grabs activity to the Shabelle region of the Somali State may will not be possible regarding to the warrior nature of the Somali people.
