A group of companies controlled by one of Dubai’s richest families has signed a deal for a $1 billion dollar investment in a 77,000 sugar beet and grains farms in Minya, Egypt.
Mozambique's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Mozambique tells the Charge d'Affaires at the UAE Embassy that his ministry will co-ordinate with other relevant authorities to provide UAE investors with land to for agricultural projects
Le projet porte sur une superficie totale de 76 000 hectares et comprend la mise en place d’une plantation et d’une usine dotée d’une capacité annuelle de production de 1 million de tonnes de sucre et d'un coût de 450 millions $.

A Mozambican delegation is in the UAE to conclude procedures prior to signing a formal agreement on cooperation in agriculture, while Dubai Ports World is in negotiations with the Mozambican government over the future of the port of Nacala.
Abu Dhabi's first international exhibition on agricultural investments abroad, facilitated business deals worth over $1 billion during the course of its two days.

Abu Dhabi-based Elite Agro, which already cultivates on a large area in Morocco and 100 hectares in Serbia, says it will become one of the top blueberry growers in the world.
Al Dahra plans to allocate millions of dollars this year to improve food safety. In Serbia alone they want to buy as many as 20,000 hectares of land.
